Oh dear.

Any guesses??
Yes, Lizzie is wearing the toilet bowl of her potty as a hat and the toilet seat as a bracelet. (Fortunately she's never actually used the potty for its intended purpose, or this would be really gross!)

Happy Columbus Day!

Today is a holiday, and since Daddy now works for the State, he gets holidays off. Yay!

So we decided to celebrate by checking out Vertuccio Farms. (Thanks to a recent Groupon and the fact that kids three and under get in free, the entire family of four got in for the price of one.)

Here are some highlights:
The Extreme Air Pillow
The Barrel Train Ride
The Bounce House
The Corn Maze
There were also lots of farm animals to see: ducks, geese, pigs, goats, cows, chickens, and turkeys. Duplicates of this sign were prominently displayed throughout the farm. I'm including it for my sisters, who might find it funny.
Daddy showing off his muscles at the High Striker. :o)
Milking a Cow

Yay for Vertuccio Farms! And yay for Christopher Columbus for giving Daddy the day off to play with us!

Diving Lady

Remember this?
There was a big storm on October 5, 2010, and it crashed to the ground. For the last year, various people have been trying to raise funds (~$65,000) to have it restored.

This afternoon, the girls and I went to Fiesta Mall to get some exercise and play in the playground area:
While we were there we saw this on display:
I wanted to take a picture of the girls with the Diving Lady because I figured my sisters would find it interesting, but... Notice that Lizzie isn't in the picture. And notice that Heidi's turned around watching her run off.

Lizzie ran off two different times. At one point I was busy reading the display, and a stranger had to tell me, "There she goes!" I finally caught up to her at the Verizon store.

Oh, the joys of having a two year old.

P.S. The restoration is complete, and the sign is scheduled to be back up sometime before Thanksgiving, pending a permit approval.

DeWitt Stables

We found a Groupon for 2-for-1 admission to DeWitt Stables near Aunt Kristi's work (and kids under 3 get in free!), so we jumped at the chance to go see the animals. Here are some choice pictures:
 Cute li'l horsey.
 COWGIRL!!!
 Hayride.
Petting zoo. (I took a bunch of cute pictures of the girls with the animals, but I'm having a hard time downloading them from my phone. I'll have to keep trying.)
Our two little pumpkins, in the pumpkin patch.

Thanks for coming with us, Aunt Kristi!!!

Shelling walnuts on the back porch:
(Yes, she put the whole walnut in her mouth.)

Zoo

We headed to the zoo again today. New animals we saw this visit were komodo dragons, elephants, and zebras. Here are just a few highlights:
You can just barely make out the elephant in the background.
There are a whole bunch of flamingos in the water behind Liz.
Heidi with four giraffes.
There's a lazy komodo dragon on the rock behind Heidi.
Liz, up close and personal with one of the free-range peacocks.

Zebras

Almost four years ago, on November 17, 2007, Scott and I went on our first date to the Phoenix Zoo. Our favorite exhibit was the zebras exhibit; we talked there for quite a while. Now, almost four years later...
