Dairy Free and Lovin' It!

One year ago this month, Liz was officially diagnosed with her dairy and egg allergies. It's been a challenge, but we're getting better at accommodating her special dietary needs:

We found some vegan cheese at the health food store, so we made some grilled cheese sandwiches! (Lizzie's hair is a mess because she had thrown a big temper tantrum shortly before lunch.)

Fondue Party! (Chocolate fondue made with vegan chocolate chips and vegan margarine.)

End result... Yummy!!!

It was a success!

Liz loved it! :o)

Our New House (Part 1)

We made it to Ohio last Saturday. Yay! Here are some pictures of our new house. We haven't hung any pictures yet, but we're mostly moved in.

(I'll post some more pictures--of the front and backyard, of the kitchen, and of the living room--in the next few days.)

Lizzie's Birthday: Part IV

We got to see Grandpa Baker for a few days last week, and Lizzie got EVEN MORE fun birthday presents, from Grandma and Grandpa Baker and Aunt Sarah. Lucky girl--to have so many grandmas and grandpas to spoil and love her! :o)

Lizzie's Birthday: Part III

Yesterday we got to go to Sweet Tomatoes with all of our Miller family. :o)
And Lizzie got a birthday present!
She loves it!!!
Here are a few more pictures that Grandma took:

Lizzie's Birthday: Part II

Grandma and Grandpa Ellsworth sent a birthday package from their mission.
Noisemakers for Lizzie and Heidi!
Candy necklaces for the girls.
Big-girl panties. :o)
Fruit snacks!
I took some video files too, but they're too big to fit here. I'll have to burn them to a disc and mail them to Grandma and Grandpa. :o)

Lizzie's Birthday - Part I

I let Lizzie and Heidi each pick out a balloon. This is the one Lizzie picked. :o)

Blowing out the candles. By the time she was done, her hair was singed and there was spit all over the cake.

Happy Meals. Heidi was a MESS!

A new bike!

Desk.

Kitchen set.

Marshmallows! :o)

(We did all of our birthday shopping second-hand, so we got $250-worth of presents for less than $50. Sweet!) :o)

Dairy- and egg-free cake. (Not bad.)
