Daddy's Birthday

Today was Daddy's birthday. Grandpa Miller, Grandma Lu, and Uncle Steven came over for dinner and cake and ice cream.

Since Liz can't have cake and ice cream, here she is with her Oreos and sorbet.

Birthday Party

Aunt Rachel's 20th birthday is on Wednesday, so we had a little birthday party last night (for Lizzie's benefit) while she was still in town. Here we are putting candles in the cake. (The look on Heidi's face is classic.) :o)

Heidi's (Overdue) 15-Month Check Up

We were a little slow getting to Heidi's fifteen-month check up because we recently switched insurance. (She actually turns sixteen months today.) But last Friday we went to the pediatrician for two shots and a weigh in. Here are Heidi's stats:

• Height: 31.5 inches (75th percentile)
• Weight: 21 pounds 4 ounces (25th percentile)

 No more check ups--and no more shots--until Heidi turns two. Yay!

Papago Park

Today we went to Papago Park with Uncle Steven and hiked to Hole in the Rock.

Notice the wardrobe change (compare below). Heidi made a huge mess at lunch.

And we had a yummy picnic. :o)

Last night Heidi was "reading" a book about kittens. It was super cute, so I grabbed the camera to take a picture. But when Heid's realized I had a camera, she stopped reading and started posing:
